As the title says, korganizer is the only application that shows in the "Lost
& Found" menu.

Is that a problem of the package or some local configuration problem?

FWIW I am using FC6.

Thanks,

Running Kate as root, I often encounter this. A file that is clearly a text
file is mis-identified as a binary, and the warning says that saving it will
corrupt it. Anyone else seeing this? Ignoring the message leads to no bad
consequences, by the way. The edited file is saved properly and works.

Confirmed, I see the same thing. It almost certainly would be better off
in Utilities->PIM

Can you give an example of the type of file that is "mis-identified"?
Does this only happen as root?

The file I was just editing was /etc/sysctl.conf
As I recall, sometimes, I get a different problem opening certain text files
as user - it results in a bunch of gobbledy-gook - random characters, and
I've attributed this (probably wrongly) to the file being owned by root
(subsequently opening the file with Kate started as root will produce the
text).

I seem to remember occasionally getting the binary file warning as user, but I
can't swear to it. I'll monitor this more closely, and post when it happens
again.
