Hi.
Just for the record.
Updated earlier this day (FC5,i386) and it works fine. But I=B4m only
using the kde apps, not kde at all. :)

Hi Rex,

I'll probably be updating to FC6 in the next month or so, but will there be
3.5.5 packages for FC4 I wonder?

Cheers,

Colin

My customized toolbar in kontact (kmail -- added a Delete button next to Move

kontact seemed to get messed up. But those things were easily fixed. Awaiting

No, FC-4 has gone legacy (and we don't support Fedora legacy releases).

Hi,

I am using EL4 U4 now with unstable repos and connecting to a VNC
session on the machine.

It was working fine before 3.5.5 but now this happens:
After some time I get either a complete black screen or a black screen
with a big white X.
It seems the screensaver is kicking in and crashing/does not recognise
mouse and keyboard input from my vncviewer.
Screensaver is configured to blank screen after 5mins.

rpm -qa|grep screen shows:
screen-4.0.2-5
xscreensaver-extras-4.21-4.0.el4.kde
xscreensaver-base-4.21-4.0.el4.kde

Thx
Rainer

Hmm... just tested things myself for an vnc session, and it seemed to be
ok (for my few minutes light usage, and manual invocation of screensaver).

Are you saying that the vnc session works ok initially, but then fails
later (since you mention screensaver), or does it never work?

Also, please confirm you have the latest build kdebase-3.5.5-0.8 (or newer).

I'm using kdebase-3.5.5-0.8.el4.kde.
When manually invoking the screensaver it does not happen.

Disconnect from the session, let the screensaver kick in (blank screen
here with 5min, no pw) and reconnect.
Then it happens.

Rainer

my vnc.log contained a whole bunch of:
Xlib: extension "DPMS" missing on display ":6.0"

I'll keep looking.
