These days, in general, kde-redhat is used more as a testing bed for new,
experimental packaging ideas, and most of the benefits gained find their
way into Fedora packaging, eventually.

Post FC6 (ie FC7), kde-redhat (for Fedora anyway) will likely cease to exist
as we know it, http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/UnleashKDE

The move to -extra has been decided and set to post FC6??
What about the -extra / -extra-nonfree packages?

To be clear, there are a few kde*-extras pkgs in Fedora Extras for FC5,
FC6 *now). Post FC6, kde will be leaving *Core*, and will be maintained
by the community. I plan on playing a major role in that community. (:

The -extras-nonfree bits will (continue to) be in Livna.

I know... fun fun... still working on getting kde-3.5.5 out the door,
but be aware that I'm not the (primary) koffice maintainer in Extras.
