Hi.
Some time ago I was wondering that kde-redhat was providing the new version of
konversation instead of Fedora Extras. But now it seems that it was removed
from the repo. Was this intended? Because it is working fine here on
FC5_i386.

Sebastian

If it leaked in any kde-redhat Fedora repo, then it was an accident.
Bug the Extras' maintainer for an update. (:

All,

Running lastest FC4 packages and the latest stable KDE-redhat packages. Kernel
2.6.17-1.2142 even tried rolling back to prior kernel for giggles.
kernel/udev seem to be acting normal ... fstab gets updated and all that is
required to go command line and mount /media/device. I have no problem with
that *but* I have to support a user base and mails have starting coming in.

Yesterday kdebase-3.5.4-6.0.fc4.kde was released and hoped that would contain
the fix but ... no luck. still broke.

Some other folks posted about mounting issues but all seemed to be referencing
FC5 or RHEL.

Also, I have a user that is running strictly FC4 *no* kde-redhat packages and
my usb stick mounted no problem via the pop-up dialog.

Can anyone relate? Should I try the testing branch?

Thanks,

Follow-up : I tried some more tips, none which worked:
-----------------
Konqueror: go to media:/ select the usb device and check automount box
Saw another posting about creating a plugdev group and adding the user to the
group

Guess I'll try the testing RPMS

Ah, I see. So I am a lucky one with the newest working konversation. :)

Bug is committed, thx (#206344)

pre2 seems to suffer the same fate (in fc5 at least).

I'll see about building non-optimized builds later today (as upstream
requested with these prereleases).
