I can confirm this. I updated to 3.5.4, rebooted and some of my fonts
have been antialiased (e.g. kmenu) but some haven't
(e.g. controlcenter). The checkbox Use antialiasing for fonts in
controlcenter was checked. I unchecked the box, logged out and logged in
again. Now all fonts were not antialiased. I checked the box, logged out
and in again and now all fonst are nice and antialiased again. All this
under Fedora Core 5.
