It's pretty well documented in most of the FC5 Guides, though I haven't
seen much about selinux & java.

I have quite a few systems on rhel3 too.

Many rhel3 servers don't use much KDE, just a few workstations and
critical updates come via up2date. As long as any critical security
patches are maintained for rhel3, all should be well if you drop it.
Though I'd like to see it supported as long as RH does (5-years), that
was basis for their 'enterprise' migration & pricing. ...I'd be nice if
they would pay you a percentage to maintain the KDE apps that long ;)

I finally found time to rebuild the source RPM on a machine with
libXtst-devel installed, and I can confirm that this does fix the
screenblanking problem. Should this be a BuildRequires?

Cheers,

Great idea!

OTOH, we have the infrastructure for all these platforms, it'd be a shame
to scrap it all. I suppose we could consider these in maintainance mode,
with critical fixes only.

Hi Rex,

I'm replying by private mail about this : I'm maintaining awstats in Fedora
Extras, and I can tell you that this piece of perl code has a pretty
terrible security history... :(

I see that you have not enabled the "AllowToUpdateStatsFromBrowser" option,
which was required for the last security holes, but if you want to offer
the stats to the net, I would strongly advise you to build static HTML
pages. Awstats has an option to do that, and there is even an included
script which does the boring work:
/usr/share/awstats/tools/awstats_buildstaticpages.pl (if using my package)
Of course you only get the current month, but then you can run the script
again for the month before in another directory, and so on.

There are many automated exploits in the wild, I constantly get probed. I
you need help setting this up, wave at me.

Cheers,
Aurélien
