bugzilla it. This is an unwelcome change from the previous pkg.

Nevermind, only a rebuild is required, it now provides an ABI-incompatible
libboost_python.so.2

Hi Sam!

The problem with the 'settings' selection on the menu from the title
bar is that if you save the currnent settings to the 'filemanagement'
profile, it becomes global for ALL konqueror windows.
This is not what I want.

You can change the current settings and save them to a new profile name,
but then how do you make the folder on the desktop use that profile name
by default? This seems to be the problem that I havn't figured out
how to do yet (if it is possible).

Hi
I ´ve made RPMs of some programs and just want to ask if I can submit
them to kde-redhat? The programs are:

kmediafactory - A template based DVD authoring program
taskbar2 - A transparent replacement for normal taskbar.
kshutdown - An advanced shutdown utility for KDE

A few weeks ago I ´ve also made RPMs of themes and window decorations to
learn building RPMs. Rpmlint says they are fine, but I normally use only
one of them (out of ~10), so they are not testet very well or have only
a few errors ("no documentation"). I can submit them too if wanted.

Is this the right list or is kde-redhat-devel better?

Sebastian

It appears redhat patched their qt to be style-incompatible (gcc4
patch) with the new qt-copy. Hmm.., what to do... about it??? Do we
stick with qt-copy's gcc4 patch or use redhat's?

The most compatible thing to do is to use redhat's, but I'm uncomfortable
varying from upstream. I don't think we have much choice, since if one
uses kde-redhat's qt (with qt-copy's gcc4 patch), then you couldn't use
any non-kde-redhat-built kde Widget styles.

The thing that you do so well, is that you make KDE work. I for one will bow
to your judgement to make it work. In the mean time I guess I'm going to have
to rem out testing from my apt-get configuration :(. Bummer.

Do you have any idea if that was made on purpose or if it was an attempt to
fix any compilation bug (or such....)?

Is it possible to point that to the maintainer and hope that they stick with
the upstream fix?

open up konqueror, and go to the folder you want to change the window for.
right-click the titlebar, and under "advanced" is a Special Window settings.
Under the special window settings, go to window extra.
make sure that Title is exact match. Since konqueror puts the folder name in
the title bar, this will apply to only konqueror windows with the folder name
in the titlebar. Other than that, everything in the "window" tab will be as
it needs to. Change whatever you want in geometry and preferences.

The same method should work for that number 2 thing you mentioned.

qt-3.3.4-17.3.fc4 is now available in testing, reverting from qt-copy's
gcc-4.0* to fedora-qt's gcc-4.* BUILD_KEY.

If you want the best feedback/review, I'd suggest submitting these to
Fedora Extras:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Extras/Contributors

Let me know when/if you submit anything, and I'll do my best to do
package reviews(*). Then, if any look good, I just might steal/borrow
them to rebuild for platforms (namely RedHat Enterprise) not supported by
Extras.

(*) This offer is open to everybody, BTW. (-:
