Yes, we're aware of the problem, and are working on a solution. Please
stay tuned on the kde-redhat-users@lists.sourceforge.net mailing list.

A libwpd7 compatibiliy rpm should be arriving in the fc3/stable repo
that Provides: libwpd-1.so.7 which abiword needs.

FYI, I've also got an abiword-2.2.8 rpm built (against libwpd-0.8.x),
but I was hesitant to polute the kde-redhat repo with it (and it's
dependancies including enchant, libwmf, ots, libgnomedb, libgda)

I think I'll go drop it (soon) in the kde-redhat/fedora meta-repo.

Hi Colin!

Where do I go to down load the kde-redhat packages for 3.4.1?

I am not using 'yum' at home because of slow dialup speeds.
I down load packages on my PC here at work (at 'T1' speeds :-} ) and
burn them on CD for installing at home.

We have only kde-3.4.2 now, and they're all at
http://apt.kde-redhat.org/apt/kde-redhat/fedora/4/

Hi Rex!
That was a typo, I ment 3.4.2 ... :-(

What would be the minimum list of pacakages that I would need
to install with to see if they cleared up the problem.

I thinking, kdebase rpms, kdelibs rpms, kdegraphics rpms.
Any others that I would need?

If upgrading from stock fedora kde rpms, you'll need additional
dependancies, including (from memory):
arts
  libmad (rpm.livna.org)
kdelibs
  jasper (Fedora Extras)
  OpenEXR (Fedora Extras)
  mDNSResponder
kdepim
  libmal
  pinentry-qt (Fedora Extras)
  gnokii (rpm.livna.org)
  gpgme (Fedora Extras)
kdemultimedia
  libsamplerate (Fedora Extras)
  speex
  lame (rpm.livna.org)
  xine-lib (rpm.livna.org)

Hi Sam!
I do not use yum at home due to slow dial-up only access.
I try to find all rpms needed here at work with 'T1' access
speed ( :-} ) and then burn them on CD for installation at home.

You can use yum at work, correct???
And it will give a list, and then you can get the files listed from the
server and burn them to a CD, correct?
