Hello,
using fc4 and the latest kde I am no longer able to see the documents
attached to messages (in kmail) and viewed through an external program.

It looks like the temporary file path that is passed to the external caller
is either wrong or empty.

It is an annoying bug and not unlikely other versions where sometimes this
happened but it was always fixed. :-)

If there are any more details needed to the bug report please say. Thanks,

Looks fine on my box. ??

Can you make a screenshot and post it somewhere?

Claude

If its possible, have you tried swapping your cards. That is since both cards
are identical... Try taking the card from your home computer and put in your
office computer. Visa versa.

I've set up two accounts for receiving/sending mail in Kmail. Mail, such as
this, I need to continue to go out via my ISP at work. The non-list/non-spam
stuff I want to switch to my Gmail pop account - Is there a way to tell Kmail
which account to send on? You can set a default, but I can't find a way to
switch from the default, once it's set, except by setting a new default. Is
there a way?

Isn't the From: line a drop-down list? (From memory, since it's been
awhile since I've used kmail... I'm a thunderbird fan now).

There is no From: dialogue in the default install. Here's how I got it
working: Right click on the toolbar when you're in the email composition
window, and select 'Configure Tool Bars'; in the 'Available Actions' column
select 'Mail Transport' and move it to 'Current Actions' column; close out.
This adds a toggle to your toolbar which if clicked, adds a 'Mail Transport'
field with a drop down - in the drop down are the various smtp accounts
you've set up. One small bug is that after you change the Mail Transport
field, the 'From' field doesn't change to reflect the new setting - when the
mail gets sent, however, the From field will reflect whatever you entered in
the smtp account settings.

Funny you went to Thunderbird. I came from Thunderbird. I like the thread
handling in Kmail much more than in Thunderbird. I found the filters a bit
easier to set up in Kmail, just a couple less mouse clicks. Otherwise, they
are very close in my view.

BUT, Mr. KDE-Redhat, the man, the guy putting all those hours in, he's using
TBird not Kmail - I'm going to go post this on the Fedora List ;-)
