Firstly, thanks for taking the time.

The speed at which the page downloads is not the issue. Rendering of the page
as usual is very quick. The issue is, when I allow the whole page to download
into Konqueror, then what I experience, is that Konqueror becomes jerky on
that specific page. Everything responds slowly. Mouse overs are slow,
scrolling is slow, right clicking over items produces menus very slowly. Not
so in Firefox.

I'm not getting any of the phenomena you report. Mouse overs are snappy,
scrolling seems normal, and 'right click/save as' and other like operations
seem normal.

How fast is your computer and how much memory do you have? I'm beginning to
think that this is a performance issue. My system is a PIII 800 MHz with 512
MBytes ram.

Yep, confirmed here also (FC4), scrolling is very very "jittery" and the CPU
usage goes to 100%, the menus in konq take forever to open when on this site.
I noticed the "ladybird" Icon in the bottom right corner of Konq and it says
the page has errors:

Error: http://server-uk.imrworldwide.com/c1.js: TypeError - Value undefined
(result of expression document.body.addBehavior) is not an object. Cannot be
called.
Doubt this is the problem but thought I would mention it :)

Errors are present with FireFox (Deer Park Alpha 1) but no ill affects or
heavy CPU usage, page works very smoothly.

Ed,

On Fedora Core 3 with the latest KDE from KDE RedHat, I do not see any lag on
that page with either Konq or Firefox when moving over mouse overs. I have a
ThinkPad T41p (1.7GHz Pentium M, with 1GB of RAM)

I revisited this following Colin's report. I am getting sluggish scrolling
behavior. I don't see the "ladybird" icon, though.

The sluggish scrolling is probably due to the flash not fully being visible. I
have noticed that when you have a long vertical flash that until the top of
the flash is visible the up and down scrolling seem to studder.

OK... Collin. Could you please let me know the speed of your computer and how
much memory you have. Its beginning to look more and more like this is
relevant. 2 P4's with 1 gig have no problem.

At least one PIII 800 with 512 MB has this problem.
Collin you have the same problem, so, I would like to know the configuration
is.

Actually, the weird part about this is that the page becomes more unresponsive
when it is fully loaded. Flash and everything. Which leads me to believe that
the problem occurs with the horizontal scroller near the top of the page.
Just reread Claude's report who mentioned earlier, that he has had problems
with a slow connection which leads me to believe that his original reports
where provided with the test done on the page when it wasn't fully loaded.

And it can be confirmed, that yes, the page seems to work fine in Gecko based
browsers.0

One other thing to note, is that I've read that some changes ported from Apple
has had a negative impact on Konqueror, especially when it comes to the way
Konqueror handles scripts.

Sure, AthlonXP (Barton) @3200, 1 gig 400 DDR, XFX-5700 ultra gfx card etc :-)
Its somehing else, I have been running some tests but not come up with
anything of help yet. I even disabled my all the plugins and got the same
results.

Could be a dodgy script or something on that page that Konq don't like.

Cheers

Colin

First, thanks to everyone that has helped so far. I would greatly appreciate
it if those that have seen the problem place a confirmation note to the bug
report.

OK... So that means it has nothing at all to do with the speed of the
computer. I agree that Konqueror doesn't like something on the page. However,
Firefox doesn't mind it, Mozilla doesn't mind it, and ... ehhem cough
choke ... Explorer doesn't mind it. Which means that somethings up with
Konqueror.

Eli
