Well, that is the good thing about living in a very small country ;-)

Well, there are a lot of developers out there, I guess their local town 
newspapers etc (regarding that their not living in large towns like LA :) 
would be interested in articles. 
Also setting up a mailing list with all known press contacts in US (with 
only one allowed poster, in order to prevent spamming through it) makes 
sure that the announcement is sent to a lot of magazines etc, without 
much trouble.
