Dear Promo People,

Although we are posting messages about the #Randa2017 funding campaign to
Twitter, Facebook, Mastodon, G+, etc.; these messages will have a limited
impact if you don't help us spread them further.

In case you are not already aware, our Twitter feed is here:

https://twitter.com/kdecommunity

and our Mastodon feed is here:

https://mastodon.technology/@kde

On Twitter and Mastodon there is not much you can do beyond re-tweeting and
re-tooting, but that should also have an impact. I am aware that some of you
are already doing this. Thanks.

In Facebook, apart from personal walls and pages, there are also "groups".
These aggregate news and messages sent in by their members. Some are closed
and you have to be invited, many others are open and you can post to them
directly. Search for communities with the words "KDE", "Kubuntu", "Linux",
etc. in their names and share the messages there.

Also remember that Randa2017 is all about accessibility, so if you find a
group that talks about accessibility and computer interfaces, or accessibility
and open source, you may also want to try and post your stuff there.

Our Facebook page is here:

https://www.facebook.com/kde/

In Google+, groups are called "communities" and the same thing we said about
Facebook groups can be applied here.

Our G+ page is here:

https://plus.google.com/b/105126786256705328374/

Please note I am not advocating spamming. Choose groups that would probably be
interested in these things. Check that somebody has not posted the same thing
before you. Add a message in your own words explaining why you think this is
important for the other users of the group and community. Read group and
community rules carefully. Pace yourselves.

Report back with what you do, preferably to the Promo mailing list, so we can
monitor what has most effect.

Thank for your help.

Cheers

Paul
