Hi,

With the new shiny Plasma 5 and KDE Frameworks, and the further releases of
the 4 series, I have noticed that a lot of people get confused by the "new"
branding.
Here are two recent examples:
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=12214
http://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/2ah2ek/eli5_kde_sc_plasma_next_qt5_etc_i_dont_get_it/

"tryan" from the KDE Forums (see first link) suggested to add an
explanation on the main http://kde.org website, which I think sounds like a
good idea.
How about having a banner/link above "Latest Announcement" that could read
something like "KDE? Plasma? Frameworks? What does this all mean?".
Clicking on it would take the user to a page with a short explanation of
the KDE Community, the workspace Plasma, that KDE also creates cool
applications,
and that the workspaces and applications are based on Frameworks, which
allows developers to easily create beautiful and feature-rich software.

I would love to contribute but unfortunately I'm very busy at the moment.
What do you guys think about this idea, and is there anyone who's willing
to work on this?

Cheers,
Hans
