I think, more to the point that I think was intended, is that even though KDE
is vastly superior in the "you can tweak the hell out of it" department, first
impressions matter. And, the less tweaking the better.
One little thing that I would change, for example, would be to have the folder
view icon set at Home by default. No first time user knows what a Folder View
icon is nor do they know what it does. They may not even be able to find the
wrench icon for settings...
My other niggles are distro-specific.
I also like the old Windows XP approach to having a guided tour on first run,
and have always wondered if there was a project to impliment such a thing.
