It's the difference between saying KDE is/will be better than Gnome for 
usability (which is best avoided, since if it's on the Dot it looks like KDE 
says "we're better than Gnome" whereas we prefer to say we're just different) 
and saying that we have different approaches - Gnome tends towards setting 
highly usable defaults with less options, KDE prefers to let the user set it 
their own way but has recently been putting a lot of effort in to usable 
defaults and usable configuration dialogues.

It is a very good article already and it's really nice to see this getting 
picked up.
