I think the important conclusion of this experiment is that people will 
believe what you say if they don't have experience in that domain. They don't 
have any reason to doubt you.

If I were walking downtown and someone offered me a bar of Kit Kat saying it's 
the new Mars chocolate bar, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference either.

If they went to people and asked "Have you seen Windows 7? Is this it?", then 
it would throw doubt in their minds. But you'd probably still see a high 
failure ratio, or just plain guessing (50-50 split in choice).
