Very true. The problem is also, as soon as we distribute the system outside 
the project (i.e. for purposes other than a KDE guy/gal showing off what KDE 
does and how it does it), we become distributor and have to care about updates 
for the underlying components of KDE, security updates for all the packages, 
provide support of some sort (it's not like all hardware works out-of-the-
box)...

As Cornelius said, we don't have the resources for that.
