Ok, so, I get what you mean a bit more. I was thinking of getting synced with
an upstream distro (kubuntu) and just add a couple of packages to brand it
more kde, and provide example data.
But now I understand a little more what are the possible issues.

What we can do to prevent this would be:

* Market it the least the possible, find a different name (yesterday on IRC we
arrived at the 'K+' name) so that it's not confused with a full-fledged
distro, but it's really, just a livecd with a vanilla KDE.

* Let's make it clear that it's just for promo reasons or eventually for
people that want to try out KDE 4 without messing up with their
system/packages (a little bit like kdenlive was). Or just an easy way to
check what the KDE decisions were, and not mixing up distributor and KDE
choices.

* Addictionally, we can say that this is purely provided for convenience, and
you can get the same results on a default kubuntu by removing the
kubuntu-default-settings package and installing kde4-example-data.deb.

How does the above sound?

Well, we will at least have a CD with a vanilla KDE to show off, instead of
relying on third party ones, which, rightfully, brand them their way.

Surely it won't solve all the problems on the earth, but for purely KDE promo
reasons is certainly better.

That's pretty good indeed, but I guess this will go out of the scope of my
proposal of creating a KDE branded live CD.
