at first i thought: "that wast probably the least useful response possible" but 
then i realized it's a great example of the problem we face here.

see, i agree that people should respect maintainers, and in the case of 
artwork that would be the Oxygen team. we are a meritocracy where those-who-
do-the-work-decide, so that ought be obvious. unfortunately, we tend to treat 
artists (and most other non-coders) as second class citizens in KDE.

this was also not a Suse bash, it was a KDE bash. the reason ozone made it as 
the default for the OpenSuse live cd was due to their desktop coding team 
feeling they knew better than the artists. this attitude comes directly from 
the KDE project itself, and ends up making our products look worse than they 
should be to the public.

this is why fixing things like how we treat the work of non-coders is so 
important: it affects things as distant as user adoption or marketing.

in this case, we can leverage marketing efforts to possibly fix this issue.
