Thank you, Aaron. I would have volunteered if I thought had the
knowledge and background to address the issues raised.

In lieu of addressing the false (in my view) controversy, I've been
using KDE 4.1 on Kubuntu Hardy, exploring, experimenting and telling
folks about it.

On July 3, I led a discussion/demo at the local LUG about KDE 4.
Several people have been using it and the response was decidedly
positive. The only comment (question actually) that could be taken
negatively was a concern that KDE 4 might not be stable enough when it
comes standard with Kubuntu. It didn't seem like that big of a deal to
the group.

Several people in the group expressed their gratitude...with nods from
others...for the philosophy, design and hard work involved with KDE 4.
