It's a very clear description, thanks. I'll have to let it settle down a bit 
until I grasp the whole set of possibilities one can envision when this is

Since I first skimmed through your email, the name "peers" seems to be a 
stayer. Besides being descriptive, I think it does also fit quite well with 
the other stuff for KDE4.
