Samba recently spoke out against the Novell > patents deal, maybe we'll feel similarly sometime. The big difference with regard to this is of course that Sal^Hmba was drawn into this issue by the contract without having been involved while the deal was being prepared (Basically all parties [SUN/OOo and Samba] except for Mono so far have stated that they distance themselves from the deal - which makes me wonder whether they haven't been added for reasons of an alibi right from the start. ;-) . So back to topic: Yes, we should comment in advance about stuff where we are directly involved of course. Just wanted to add this although it should be obvious.
