Just read the planet postings today and realized that practically nothing in 
there for the last week that is applicable to KDE as it is today. Is it that 
KDE 3.5.x no longer exists?

The memory of 3.x needs to be kept alive and kicking because usable (stable) 
4.x is very far in the future.
