Google Earth ( http://earth.google.com ), the so-called "3D interface to the planet", is built on Qt. The fact that the latest release is cross-platform and runs natively on GNU/Linux, Windows and Mac OS X is a testament to the high quality and portability of the Qt framework. I'm mentioning this because Qt/KDE is sometimes bashed for supposedly not being friendly enough to closed-source, third party software -- Google, Opera, Skype, Wengo and countless other vendors who use Qt have shown otherwise. Would it be appropriate to write a Dot article about why Google chose Qt? We could even try to get an interview from a Google developer.
