 By the time kicker+kdesktop CPU usage drops to zero. Or, better said, by the 
time ksplash goes away[*]. Which, now that I think of it, reminds me that 
ksplash used to go away one second later than really necessary and I still 
have left that code there.

[*] I.e. around 11-12s for cold_new.png and around 4s for warm_new.png.
