Aaron has mentioned this phenomena before, and I do agree.

Would KOffice on Windows convert x% of people to KDE?  Doubtful.

Would KOffice on Windows help y% the tipping point effect of ODF with
oo.o?  More likely.

Would KOffice on Windows help advertise how awesome KDE is to new
people if done really well and help advertise how mediocre we are if
done really half-assed?  Yes and yes.

Just be aware of porting effort, maintenance effort, and what the true
impact will be.
