We're working on a document that has guidelines about promotion in local
groups, although a it's still in the beginning phase. An overview of things
that are good to know about for promoting KDE is put under [1].
Our current TODO list of items can be found at [2]. The items vary in
importance for local promotion issues, though. Local promotion work can be
done in a couple of more ways, though:
- Translating press releases, finding press contacts (read more in the
Guerilla Marketing articles by Tom: [3],[4],[5])
- Visiting events, giving presentations at various places
- Creating contact to users, companies and other interesting partners, for
e.g. fundraising activities
- Helping the promo team to find more souls :-)
For local promotion work, it's also a good idea to check back with the local
group in Norway about existing activities. (Other than trolltech, I don't
know much about norwegian KDE activities, though.)

Please have a look at those pointers, pick something and don't hesitate to let
us know if you have questions, or want to start working on a specific issue.
Thanks for getting in contact with us,

It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenious.
