I think the key is the "ev" tuck in the middle of the mailing list address.

This ev-marketing list, over time, should be the main mailing list for
the Marketing Working Group. And so far, it looks like it has been.

Promotions is typically listed as one of the main components of
marketing. Therefore, it seems sensible the the Marketing Working
Group would be the interface to the promotions mailing list. aka
kde-promo.

I don't think we're asking peopel to subscribe to this marketing-ev
list. My understanding is that the list is mainly for Marketing
Working Group members.

The flurry of activity you see on this list is both typical of a new
mailing list as well as a group trying to define itself and start to
define direction.

The lack of activity on the promo list is not shocking to me at all,
since the most vocal people on that mailing list are....on the
ev-marketing list defining things.

Now, once goals are set and our charter (so meticulously polished) are
announced, I'd expect that this 'steering committee' for lack of a
better synomym once again starts to generate conversation on the
kde-promo mailing list as we, and other interested in all of this
stuff, get in gear.

Wade
