How about making the Kubuntu and ArkLinux announcments in a separate story, 
soon after the release announcment? Put out the idea that the new kde release 
is making an impact, creating activity, etc.

The idea that distributions are organising their release schedules around us 
is something that I think we should draw attention to (:
