I suggested this as an addition, not as a replacement. And since I am no 
native speaker of English, I cannot give any good comments on the use of 
population and section. I will write down a thought nevertheless: By 
using "population", we would make a more general statement about the 
position of impaired people in society in general, and thus put our work 
in a broader context. I like this.
