Hi George,
For me, I want people to use promo stuff from KDE.
For example, let's say you want to have a nice brochure from company A or
organisation B, then they are more than happy to give it to you. So the
analogy is if someone at a LUG-event wants promo material about KDE but this
doesn't seem to be accesible that doesn't make sense.
On a side note I also see many duplicate efforts wrt promotional material.
A nice solution would be to provide a page with these promo-material. Look at
http://events.kde.org/resources/
I'm willing to do this if this is fine with everybody and put some stuff on
there.
Another note, I saw the report on the Dot, which is btw very cool and
promising, maybe we can add those PDF-files[1] [2] to the promo-module. Also
please note that serveral presentations are in that module as well.
