I think that maybe it is better that the would-be janitor asks formally to the 
application maintainer if he wants a janitor. Janitor is dependant on the 
maintainer to modify the application in CVS. It is better that there some 
sort of agreement between the maintainer and the janitor before the janitor 
starts working.

My point is not a critic of the project. Just to say that Carlos should expect 
a high turnover.
