If you read the thread you'll see that I mildly rebuffed that
someone too for this, because it is also an assumption.

No, it's not. You can't take SuSE's support for KDE for granted.
SuSE now has a business contract with Ximian. Ximian has a few
seemingly very attractive products, which sell well in the
enterprise or organisation market. Ximian knows very well how
to ring all the marketing bells and whistles. Ximian is very
well present and visible everywhere. Nothing comparable there
for KDE or KDE-ish companies....
