Forget definitions of free software, the reasons to care about software
licensing, and all the politics arguments surrounding them. Sure, it's
important, but it's all irrelevant here.
To me, it comes down to this: If individuals are going to give out discs
in the name of KDE, the contents of those discs should be KDE-appropriate.
KDE has certain license policies, so the contents of any KDE discs should
roughly obey these policies.
If others want to make their own KDE demo discs that contain proprietary
software, so be it. The sources of the KDE disc should be available for
anyone to amke their own modifications. But please don't put the KDE name
on something that is contraversial in the KDE community. Something
promoting KDE should be inclusive, not divisive.
