Oswald Buddenhagen sent me his archive of a May 2002 kde-events
thread, as it relates to the design of the AdvocateDatabase. Parts
are a bit dated, since KDE now uses bugzilla.

Main points of thread:

* incorporate KDE CVS accounts
* incorporate KDE bug system accounts
* look at Debian LDAP system.

This thread is now up on the wiki at

http://www.hubcapconsulting.com/kdepromo/KdeEventsThread

I've also posted a query to debian-devel asking for people's feedback
on how the LDAP systems works. Technically LDAP seems like a good
solution (security, integration with email, optimized for write-few,
read-many) for an advocate list. I've never used LDAP however, so
I'm a bit leery of the learning curve.

Mark
