By any measure the work of us North Americans doesn't add up to a lot.  Not 
only did the Europeans found KDE, but it seems to me the people paid to do 
KDE are mostly in Europe, too.

If people feel that way, you should address that feeling directly.  Point 
out that it's possible to use KDE without sending money or support to 
Europe.  Join me in discouraging KDE and affiliated organizations (like 
the League) from taking stands in legal and political matters.

But don't try to distort the truth that the KDE community is overwhelmingly 
European.
