Hi all !

We have just finished Solutions Linux in Paris. A very great week !

Some feedback about organization :
The most of the team is composed with translators. A few developers (among 
which David Faure :-)
I think these 2 sorts of people are mandatory.

About goodies :
we got 
17 3d Konquies at 30 €
100 pins at 2 €
20 mousepads at 10 €
Nearly everything has been sold, but with very little benefit (the prices we 
buy them are far too high)

We made lots of money by sending modified Knoppix with KDE 3.1, completely 
french localized. We sold about 250 at 4 €.
The problem was to finish the iso image in time and to burn them. Some friends 
on other booths helped us with their burners during the meeting.

We had big wall KDE decorations, which had been printed on an expo by Big 
printers vendors as demonstrations. We keep them carefully

I could organize a meeting with Richard Stallmann. He was very friendly. He 
seems to get rid of Gnome, and he discovered KDE with much interest. He spend 
one hour on our booth discussing about free software and using KDE 3.1. He 
asked questions about our organization and our financial problems. He was 
very interested in the fact that we worked without chief.
I think other KDE groups must do other meetings with Richard Stallmann (he 
loves tea). Just email to him.

We had very nice and expensive flyers, which impressed very much CEOs. We 
learned that many companies are using KDE or will do soon. Some of them seem 
to want to contribute. What they need most is a completly useful KOffice with 
good MSOffice filters.
