Well, it sounds reasonable, but there's just one problem:  Once one admin 
decides to *delete* a post, no appeals would allow its reinstatement, as 
it's just *gone*.  And technically this is bad, as child replies don't get 
reparented.

Interesting.  Would this involve moderation by admins or users?
