I agree with you. 99% or the people that say "I want to help, what can I do
?" will actually never help. If they aren't able do figure out by themselves
what they could do, they aren't able to help. And it takes some time to
understand how one can help.

But here, we have many people that have shown commitment to helping KDE by
doing something.

I would love to say, "Yes, I am. Now, be assured that you can count on me,
you will have 50% less work to do" but this is not the case. I have
commitment to other projects in KDE which I hope will really help or which
will really bring fun. This doesn't mean that I won't help.

Right now, we don't know how we can help you because we don't know what you
are doing. Could you list to us all the thing you are doing for KDE and the
league, and think about how we could help you to manage that ?

For example, you say that you receive 100 e-mails every day. I am sure that
we could help you to deal with that. Some mails certainly must be absolutely
answered by you. But there are plenty of them that could probably be
answered by someone familiar with KDE's promotion. You don't have to discuss
personally with every one taking its first contact with KDE, we could
probably deal with this, and redirect the guy to you when it is getting
serious.

I understand your concern that putting such an organisation takes some
times. And we will probably all say that we can not commit 100% to
something, can not swear we will always be there to handle everything.

No we were not. At least I was not. I was talking about the people here,
Tink, Navindra, Eva, me, Jono, ... who have already proved they are able to
commit to helping KDE. Most of us have shown some frustration because of the
way we can not get more involved in helping.

The problem is that we have no way to help you. Currently, there is no open
interface to the KDE League or the the KDE Ev. You are handling everything.
As you say, you are not skilled in everything and don't have time to work on
everything. Thus the need for help. Moreover, if you continue at that rate,
one day you'll get burnt and say goodbye to KDE because you have donate too
much without any support or return.

So please provide us ways to get involved.

That's why I have tried to organise a meeting at the FOSDEM. That is also
why you must get more people involved. Just discussing with David on various
stuff was very efficient. If you can get two volonteers in the same state,
you get a very efficient communication mean (at least between them). And
they can work together on topics related to their state.

We have realised that we have to deal with the booth on our own and can't
count on the League for that. That's a big advance. And I hope to get more.
Yes, that time was worth it because we have opened doors to improve things.

Please go on.

Obviously, we can not do that for you :-)
