I have written this for the FOSDEM. This is to be included in the middle of
a press release presenting the various project meeting that will occur
during the FOSDEM. I am not a very good english writer, nor a press-release
master. So any comments or rewrite are greatly appreciated.

Like in many other Free Software projects, KDE developers are spread around
the world and talk only by means of email and irc. A meeting like the FOSDEM
allow them to meet face to face, to discuss and exchange ideas. In
the past, such meetings (Erlangen, Trysil) have had a very positive effects
on
the project, leading sometimes to major decisions.

This year, we expect around 20 KDE developers, working on various area of
KDE:
core-development, DCOP, KOffice, games, usability, bindings, ... Many
enthusiasts will certainly join the crew, and we hope to present the KDE
development to many visitors. The FOSDEM will also encourage communication
with other projects, and make it possible to discover possibilities for
mutual
work or useful interactions.

	Philippe
