Hi,

I have no idea whether anybody else got this mail, too - or whether this is
the appropriate list to forward to. In any case, this seems to be related to
promoting KDE, I'd guess somebody knows whether an "official" statement would
be appropriate.

Sir!
We are students of one the premier Technological Institute
of India, We are Organizing Our Technical Festival TechKriti In Feburary
,2002 .
During this event we are setting Up “Linux Information Center”, the aim
of which to make Linux more popular. One the event in this event is
“Enrich Linux Contest”
In which we will ask the participants to build some good utilities for
Linux which make Linux friendlier. For which we want to provide them a
list of sample problems which they can do. Since you have been working
with its development, you can very well suggest some of such utilities,
f you can find some time for us please help us out.
Till now what we have in mind are the cloning utilities from
windows, multithreaded ftp server and clients for LAN’s, Outlook express
clone for Linux, network monitoring tool which allow to sniff packets,
analyse the utility using the port and may be closing that application
and such others but they all seem that their support are available but
they are not so friendly.

Please suggest some of the utilities which are completely
missing and may be even included directly in distribution, because
during contest we get very good participants who can really build so
good tools that can be directly send for distribution

A Linux Developer
Abhishek Goyal
