This is not related to KDEPrint at all, it's a matter of acrorad configuration (that has been changed in RH-7.3). Editing kprinterrc won't have any effect on acroread. What you need to change is the acroread config file, but I don't know which one it is. Anyway, can't you change the command to "lpr" in the print dialog? Normally, the new command should be kept and re-used in further printing.
