This doesn't work for me:
$ kprinter -P espdeskjet /root/test.txt

A print error occured.
Error message received from system:

cupsdoprint -P 'espdeskjet' -J 'test.txt'
-H 'localhost:631' -U 'root'
-o ' _kde-enscript-header='$N|%W|Page $% of $='
_kde-filters=enscript copies=1
multiple-document-handling=separate-documents-collated-copies
page-bottom=72 page-left=72 page-right=72 page-top=72'
'/tmp/kde-root/kdeprint_TB2KsBp' :
execution failed with message:
/bin/bash: Page: command not found
/bin/bash: %W: command not found
This utility doesn't support printing from STDIN

I think this also explains why the page header is being mishandled. Note that
the -o option is single quoted and contains a single quoted header string,
which prematurely stops the command line parse.
