Say hello to Kandy. Kandy is an application which allows to you communicate with your mobile phone. It aims at providing synchronisation for phone book, appointments and other data stored on the mobile. Currently Kandy is a baby application. It is still learning how to speak to the phone and often stumbles. What Kandy in the current state provides is a basic kind of terminal program with some extra features to remember and replay AT commands, a simple GUI to some data of the phone like the phonebook, and the ability to import the phonebook from the mobile to the standard KDE addressbook database. It requires a mobile phone with integrated modem like e.g. the Siemens S35. You will find Kandy in CVS. When you try it, please remember that it still is in a very early state of development. Make a backup of your data, before you use it. In order to grow up, Kandy needs some time and help. If you are interested in this kind of application and would like to contribute to development, testing, documentation etc or have any comments please don't hesitate to contact me. -- Cornelius Schumacher
