merge that into master.

That would be great.  Same as above.. commit to branch and merge to master.

holiday files aren't part of KOrganizer, per se.
They are used by the clock plasma widget for example.

I'm not sure holiday files need to be provided by GHNS.
However, I do think GHNS should be able to provide "canned calendars".
For example: sports league calendars, club schedules, etc.

I once wrote a program that took the entire monthly schedule from tcm.com
and converted it into a korganizer importable calendar.  IOW:  a TV program
listing schedule is another example of a "Canned calendar" that might be on GHNS.
