https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=289932 is one of the many bugs you find 
at bugs.kde.org when searching for virtuoso.

What I found though is that sometimes it helps to remove the "last search" 
from kmail's  folder tree. Might have been a coincidence.
