This should not happen. I guess that for proper functioning akonadi needs to preserve the immutable imap uid. Therefore new messages with an imap uid don't need to be synchronized towards the imap server. Please note that actually the triple (folderpath/name,uidvalidity,uid) ist immutable. In other words if a message is moved or modified the imap uid needs to be removed from the object in akonadi.
