The main Goal of the Nepmuk project is to create methods, data structures, and tools to extend the desktop into a collaborative environment. Most important in the context of KDE are probably issues like a centralized and generic storage for all kinds of information including meta-data on the desktop and the integration of information gathering and creation through a generic service oriented architecture. Technologies like Tenor or Akonadi seem to have goals similar to the ones of Nepomuk and I would love to discuss possible integration of our work. I hope to be able to involve the KDE comunity into the development process of the Nepomuk Social Semantic Desktop and its open standards. Please let me know if you are interested and willing to mee me at the akademy tuesday evening (8pm) for a little BoF session. Cheers, Sebastian Trueg [1] http://nepomuk.semanticdesktop.org _______________________________________________ kde-pim mailing list kde-pim@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-pim kde-pim home page at http://pim.kde.org/
