One Public that everybody ca= n=20 use, this is the one you import to read signatures as well as encrypt a=20 message to the owner of the key. The other key is private, it belongs to you. This key is the one that has t= he=20 capability to sign an email or decrypt an encrypted message sent to you, as= =20 long as the message was encrypted using your public key. Simon Singh wrote an interesting book called "The Code Book" that walks you= =20 through all sorts of codes and encryption techniques as well as the=20 decryption techniques. He has a couple of excellent chapters that explain=20 exactly how modern RSA encryption works. I would suggest giving it a read. > ?:(? > > Jean-Philippe > > > -- > > SuSE93 Linux Kernell 2.6.11.4-21.12 KDE 3.4.0 Kontact 1.1 Kmail 1.8 > _______________________________________________ > KDE PIM users mailing list > kdepim-users@kde.org > https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-users --nextPart2043717.JCstl0GB0e Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBFEMSyDVS51vXwFMMRAiChAJ9yn5Ss4Y6qc1xCDf7kDCKBYTC0EwCgkOrX pNGoLLTn6qxBjg2YPfhPF/E= =ijIV -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart2043717.JCstl0GB0e-- --===============0968108775== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline _______________________________________________ kde-pim mailing list kde-pim@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-pim kde-pim home page at http://pim.kde.org/ --===============0968108775==--
