... and when Kontact would use the big icons as well it would look like
Windows but doesn't follow the KDE Style Guide anymore... ;)

Honestly, I think we don't have to mimic other applications so far, just
to provide 'good usability' or 'easier migration'. A consitent look of
the whole desktop environment is more important and like in every other
KDE application the user has the possibility to change the size of the
icons to whatever he likes best.
